Constituency
The present Statutes define CRC structure at the central level as follows:
Central Committee (CC) is the body governing CRC between sessions of the General Assembly. It is comprised of:
The President of the National Society is the highest office bearer of the CRC and responsible to the General Assembly; the President acts under the authority of the General Assembly and the Central Committee to guide the affairs of the CRC in conformity with their decisions and to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the Cambodian Red Cross. The Finance Commission is an advisory commission to the Central Committee and shall be composed of a chairperson and five members (including the Treasurer), appointed by the Central Committee for a term of four years. The Management is headed by the Secretary General, who is the full - timer senior executive of the Cambodian Red Cross. The Secretary General carries out his/her functions under the authority of the Central Committee and the President. The Secretary General shall establish the structure of the Secretariat, the general outline of which shall be subject to the approval of the Central Committee. In the execution of the tasks, the Secretary General is assisted by the Secretariat, the Directors of the five departments and all managerial officers and staff. The Statutes define the structure of the branch, sub-branch and group as follows: Branches (Provincial /Capital City)< The Central Committee establishes branches within Cambodia, defining territory or city allotted to each and delegate such responsibility as the Central Committee thinks fit for the CRC and its activity in that Province/Capital City.Sub-Branches (District/City)The Branch Committee establishes sub-branches in the district, defining the territory allotted to each and delegating responsibility as it thinks fit for the CRC and its activity in that local area. Only one sub-branch shall operate in a district at any one time. Each sub-branch shall operate in an office building approved for use by the Branch Committee and displaying an indicative RC Emblem (according to article 10 of the Royal Decree on The Recognition of the Cambodian Red Cross).Groups (Communes)Groups (Communes) in accordance with article 24 of the Statutes, Sub-Branches shall establish Groups in the communes, defining the territory allotted to each and delegating responsibility as it thinks fit. Only one group shall operate in a commune at any one time. Each group shall operate in an office building approved for use by the Branch Committee and displaying an indicative RC Emblem (according to article 10 of the Royal Decree on The Recognition of the Cambodian Red Cross).Updated on 17 January 2011 |
