THE EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE CAMBODIAN RED CROSS


In the afternoon of the 4th August 2010, at the Chaktomuk Conference Hall, the Cambodian Red Cross open its 5th General Assembly with the Royal Patronage of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath NORODOM SIHAMONI, King of Cambodia with participants from 189 official members and 390 national international guest of honor as observers. The observers are deputies prime minister, senior ministers, ministers and representatives of membership from government ministries/institution, the delegates from the ICRC and the International Federation Regional Delegations, the Cambodia based participating national societies, the National Red Cross Societies from Laos, Thailand and Vietnam, representatives from ethnic minorities, diplomatic mission, international and non-governmental organization, the 24 branches, members, volunteers and youth of the Cambodian Red Cross, whose presence has made the opening ceremony meaningful and solemn.





Cambodian Red Cross Extraordinary General Assembly


In the morning of 04th August 2010, the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) celebrated an Extraordinary General Assembly at its National Headquarters. As defined in the CRC Statutory Text and Rules of Procedures, rule 8 stating that “The Assembly shall be chaired by the President of the CRC”, Lokchumteav Bun Rany Hun Sen, the President of the Cambodian Red Cross, presided over and led this Extraordinary General Assembly. A total of 189 official members, who are the representatives from 24 provincial and municipal branches, government ministries and institutions, participated in the assembly. In addition, a sum of 92 participants from the Head of the ICRC Regional Delegation, Acting Head of the Federation Regional Delegation, Staff in the CRC National Headquarters, Branch Directors and representatives of Red Cross youths and volunteers from 24 provincial and municipal branches, attended as observers,.
