In the morning, Friday, September 9, 2011, Lok Chumteav Kattiprittbindit Bun Rany HUNSEN, President of the Cambodian Red Cross received courtesy meetings and donations from charitable persons at the National Headquarters :
At 09:00, Lok Chumteav Kattiprittbendit received a courtesy meeting with H.E. Major General Tran Dai Quang, Minister of Police and delegates from Vietnam. At that meeting, Lok chumteav Kattiprittbindit welcomed for the presence of the official visit of Vietnamese delegation. She expressed her pleasure and appreciation for the contribution in term of humanitarian donation to the National Society of Cambodia Red Cross. Lok Chumteav Kattiprittbindit commented on humanitarian model of Vietnamese soldiers for helping Cambodian people to revolutionize from the Genocide regime and also had helped to build the country which had been memorized by all Cambodians.
H.E. Tran Dai Quang expressed his overwhelmed pleasure towards the official visit and contribution in humanitarian activities with the Cambodian Red Cross and admired all recent CRC's proud achievements in helping to ease hardships of vulnerable people. H.E. also raised that this 10,000 USD donation were the generousity of Vietnamese Police and truly hoped that it would contribute to people who were suffering. H.E. wished Lok Chumteav Kattiprittbindit as well as CRC's officials and staff with happiness, prosperity and success in fulfilling their humanitarian duty.
Finally, Lok Chumteav Kattiprittbindit thanked H.E. and the delegation for their gracious donation and promised that it would be used for the actual humanitarian work in distributing humanitarian relief at Kompong Chhnang province in the next day. She also wished the delegates with success and good health.
At 10:00, Lok Chumteav Kattiprittbindit received a curtsey meeting with delegates from the Army Headquarters led by H.E. General Meas Sophear, Deputy Commander and Chief of Army of the Royal Cambodian Armed Force. Lok Chumteav Kattiprittbindit began by welcoming the delegation for bringing humanitarian contribution in order to support to the activities of Cambodian Red Cross especially since 1999. This gracious donation would be used to help vulnerable people with timely and effectiveness in responding to other disasters.
H.E. General Meas Sophear commented that this was the honor for the Army Headquarters for bringing donation as membership fee to the Cambodian Red Cross in order to participate in humanitarian activities to help vulnerable people. H.E. also admired the leadership of Lok Chumteav Kattiprittbendit in gaining trust from National-International donors and achieved many proud and historical achievements.
Lok Chumteav Kattiprittbendit also admired the humanitarian generosity of the RCAF and wished them all with good health and happiness in their families.
